At the meeting, Artyomovski Machine-Building Plant Ventprom was represented by Oleg Vladimirovich Gorshkov, Executive Director, and Vitaly Ivanovich Kutaev, Chief Structural Engineer.
Specialists of underground railway systems heard the report of the Plant Director on new technological developments in the field of ventilation equipment for metro stations and tunnels, the company's quality policy, and new services.

Since the beginning of last year, Artyomovski Machine-Building Plant VENTPROM has launched a large-scale program aimed at strengthening business partnerships with the electromechanical services of the underground railway systems.
The issue of overhaul of ventilation units equipped with fans manufactured by Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, with the replacement of certain fan assemblies, was first discussed at the Artyomovski Machine-Building Plant upon an initiative of the International Metro Association, the Moscow and St. Petersburg Metros in January 2003. Based on the meeting’s recommendation, the underground railway systems have developed technical requirements for fans. Artyomovski Machine-Building Plant, together with the subways and the Ural State Mining University, have examined the existing ventilation shafts. Based on the results of these works, the main areas for the modernization and replacement of obsolete machines were developed.
As part of these works, the design documentation for the following equipment was prepared: the rotor and the air device of recirculating type for the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute 2.0 fan; and the PTO 18 R fan; two Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute 2.0 rotors were manufactured. The first samples will soon be delivered to the Moscow Metro.
With the direct participation of the Moscow Metro, a new high-performance PTO-20 fan meeting the highest modern requirements is developed. So far, it is without peers both in Russia and in the CIS countries. The high-efficiency fan is compact and is characterized by low-noise, ease of manufacturing, and low cost of operation. New composite materials will be used in manufacturing this fan - in particular, for manufacturing blades of the collector's impeller and spinner. This will reduce the fan weight and the load on the housing elements, and increase the overall service life of the product. Further, PTO-20 will have a modern anti-corrosion coating and meet the fire-fighting requirements.

The technical and intellectual potential of the enterprise allows us to successfully cooperate with international partners in order to improve the production, quality and modernization of our products.
