In-house design office. 80 years of engineering experience

OPTIMAL CHARACTERISTICS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SERVICE LIFE
There are no mines with the same ventilation parameters, just as no two tunnels are the same. Therefore, fans for their ventilation should have individual characteristics. Fans manufactured by AMZ Ventprom are designed for a lifetime of at least 25 years. The actual service life is much longer than the rated one. During this period, the ventilation network changes significantly and its aerodynamic resistance changes. Therefore, fans that are capable of changing their characteristics over time without a significant change in design are required.
AO AMZ VENTPROM fans are always custom-made, since the parameters of ventilation differ at each facility. Our task is to consider all customer requirements and ensure the right characteristics and maximum energy efficiency of the fans throughout their service life. The design office helps to solve this problem as efficiently as possible.

DESIGN OFFICE TASKs
— Development of fans, taking into account the changing parameters of mines and tunnels — Modernization of existing fans — Prototype assembly and testing — Maintenance throughout the entire period of operation
TECHNOLOGIES
The technologies listed below, allow us to create fans with a maximum (over 80%) efficiency over a wide range for their entire service life.
Change of impeller hub-to-tip ratio
Expands the total fan operating zone and the zone of operation with maximum efficiency. Our range includes fans with a hub-to-tip ratio of v=0.5-0.7.
The use of inlet quide vanes installed upstream of the impeller
By changing the flow swirl at the inlet to the impeller, it is possible to change the fan operation parameters within ±20%. This does not affect the efficiency of the fan.
Change of an impeller cascade solidity
Allows the fan characteristics to change as the mine parameters change, without significantly altering the structure.
impeller diameter upto 6.0 meters
inear speed at the blades ends upto 180 m/s
rated power upto 13 mW
capacity upto 1500 m³/s
pressure upto 10 000 Pa

80 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT
The Chief Designer Department is one of the first formed at the plant (1947). In 1956 the plant got its own design office among 30 leading enterprises of the USSR, which allowed to attract the best personnel from all over the country. The office was headed by designers N. V. Kokunov (1956-1961), S. S. Yudochkin (1962-1966) and V. A. Agushev (1966-1976) whose names became legendary in the industry.
Over decades of work both experience and professionalism have formed and also dynasties of engineers, a prime example of which is the Kutaev family. Vitaly Ivanovich Kutaev was head of the design department from 1990 to 2010. His son Denis Vitalievich followed in his father's footsteps. He joined the plant back in 1997, and since 2008 he has worked in the chief designer department, currently heading this department.
