Advantages of the modular fan design:
— No need of massive foundation for the installation, all the equipment is located on the base plate or bollards (piles).
— The equipment comes to the customer assembled in blocks and is assembled on site into a single module
— Fast assembly of constructions
— Launch of equipment does not require additional approvals from the supervisory authorities.

Fans or fan units are located in blocks. The block dimensions and their number determine the fan dimensions.
Blocks are a frame structure clad with sandwich panels.
The fans are located along the axis of the container. The access to the fan is provided by doors built into the side walls of the container; units are equipped with space for laying power and auxiliary cables and windows to ventilate the premises in the summer.

The fans can be installed either by bolted connection or on vibration mounts. A protection bar is installed at the suction to prevent foreign objects from getting into the flow part of the fan. Depending on the ventilation scheme, the suction side can be equipped with a forced air heating unit.

Fans are equipped with electromechanically driven brakes to prevent the spinning of the fan impeller when in standby.

Fans can be designed both in reversible version with reversing flow not less than 60% of direct flow, and in non-reversible version (depending on technical specification). Reversing time and switching from the working fan to the standby fan does not exceed than 6 minutes.

The flow switches for switching from operating to standby fan are located in the inlet and outlet units. The flow switch is designed as a horizontally pivoting door. The switching door is driven by a gearbox. Switch units are positioned perpendicular to the fan unit containers
