UTsV design

The circulation fan plant consists of the following main units: a fan with a built-in electric motor, a guide vane, a bypass, a set of support rings.

The fan consists of a housing, a shaft supported by the impeller bearings, which is the operating element of the fan and by rotation circulates the protective gas under the muffles of the bell-type furnace.

The fan is cooled with water supplied to the hollow shaft, the housing and the upper flange.

The guide vane evenly distributes the gas flow under the muffle and serves as a support for the stack of coils. It consists of a housing, eight links, a top plate, a top ring and a grill.


The grill is designed to protect from ingress of foreign objects into the guide vane and on the impeller.


The guide vane is installed on the supporting rings. Under them, inside the supporting rings, there is a bypass through which inert gas enters the upper cavity of the fan flange, thus creating a positive pressure and eliminating air suction into the furnace through the shaft seal
