The VCP-16M shaft-sinking fan is designed for ventilation of shafts with diameter up to 8 m and depth up to 1400m, sinked with drilling and blasting operations, and with blowing ventilation. It is designed for operation in a metal pipeline with a diameter of 800, 900 or 1000 mm. It is installed on the surface of the mine.

The VСP-16M fan with a reversing device can also be used for ventilation of near-shaft workings during its sinking, in other industries it can be used as a high-pressure fan with capacity 10-46 m3/s and pressure up to 200-920 daPa.

VCP-16M fan design

The VCP-16M fan consists of the following main assembly units: a guide vane, a housing, a rotor, a frame, a coupling, and an electric motor.

The rotor shaft is mounted in two spherical-radial bearings in a single cast housing.

The welded impeller consists of main and cover discs and 8 profiled blades.

The motor and fan shafts are connected by a coupling.

The fan housing is a metal structure welded from sheet and sectional steel. The housing joint along the impeller axle makes it possible to service and repair the fan.

To regulate the capacity and pressure, the fan is equipped with a guide vane with 12 simultaneously rotating blades. The blades are rotated by the guide vane actuator. The frame is welded from a channel and thick plate steel.

The reversing device consists of a box, two doors, and a winch.

The box has two rectangular channels with a cross section of 1000x1200 mm interconnected by a hole. It is mounted on beams resting on columns and is connected by flanges to the inlet discharge piping and the fan outlet.
